Diversities of opinions and freedoms of expression can be thought of as goods in and of themselves, that impact the collective economy of ideas, creating informed citizens, creating critical thinkers and of course creating bonds and associations of interest between all involved.

With members from all around the world engaged in conversations on discussion topics as erudite as ponderings on Jewish conceptions of identity in secular societies and as topical as security on The Temple Mount, there is certainly no fear for lack of coverage. And that from different angles!

Sometimes, engaging in the collective reflection of ideas causes one to have a change of mind

By engaging in discussions, analysing and dissecting ideas and constructing them again one discovers that the very discovering of alternative constructions of interpretations of meaning can challenge one’s paradigms. Perhaps changing them, perhaps solidifying them. In any case making one aware of the source of one’s beliefs- something that is a highly valued critical thinking skill to have in modern society.
